Oak Creek Vineyards was founded in 1999 in response to a growing need in Texas for high quality winegrapes. Our mission is to grow varieties for wines consumers want, at the highest possible level of quality. Nestled in the hills 100 miles northwest of Dallas/Fort Worth, Oak Creek Vineyards is in a unique part of Texas. We have cool nights, low rainfall and well-drained soils overlooking the beautiful Red River Valley.

Mourvedre, the cluster pictured at left, is one of our featured varieties. It is used to make a single varietal and is blended as in the Trois Amis wine made at Brushy Creek Vineyards.

The vineyard was originally planted in 1984 and had been abandoned and neglected for several years when we discovered it. The rows were infested with weeds and overgrown with greenbriar. Chainsaws, weedeaters, hedge trimmers and a lot of elbow grease turned this...

...into this.
